Responsibilities

• Work directly with design responsible engineers to procure the correct amount of parts and supplies to support the test fleets
• Create a system for test fleet parts inventory management and maintain the correct amount of stock for fast moving parts and supplies
• Stage parts for workshop tasks, technicians, and engineers
• Maintain a high level of communication with the workshop, test engineers and development team to ensure all supplies are stocked and organized according to their needs
• Work directly with the store’s managers at the other Rivian facilities and plant to share resources and part allocation
• Keeping fasteners and consumables stocked at the workshop
• Handling part returns to the respective suppliers
• Coordination of shipments for the Test and Development teams
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested and needed

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a parts advisor role
• Experience in a R&D position is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Strong automotive mechanical understanding
• Strong computer skills especially with work management systems
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
