What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Inspector 2 position at Kettmann Machining?
Kettmann Machining is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to ensure the highest quality of all parts within the manufacturing cycle. This position is based on a 4x10 schedule.
Responsibilities

- Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
- Must be proficient with a calculator and measuring tools such as micrometers, depth micrometers, dial indicators
- Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies - Meticulously maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained
- Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager always keeping travelers with job and reporting any client change orders
Skills
- Experience in Medical Device or other positions involving ISO 13485 standards is preferred
- Must be able to accurately inspect the first article and provide directions to the machinist if the article needs modification to meet the specifications and drawings
- Detail oriented with a results and team driven approach
- Familiarity with quality testing machines (CMM) and systems
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Working knowledge of MS Office
Salary : $34 - $41
