Job Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position will primarily focus on the utilities side of maintenance.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position available on 3rd Shift.This shift works primarily Monday - Friday from 9:00pm - 5:00am. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.

Position Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
- Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work.
- Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
- Wire moderately complex control circuits.
- Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set-up and centerlining.
- Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
- Ability to quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
- Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
- Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
- Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision.
- Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix).
- Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

- 2-years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability and willingness to make decisions, effectively communicate, problem solve and teach others.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
