Production Technician I - Nights
The Production Technician I is responsible for operating and monitoringproduction machinery to maximize production and maintain KDP’s high standardsin safety and quality. This role will also be engaged in supportingimprovements to the manufacturing process in the areas of safety, quality,delivery, productivity and growth.
Shift and Schedule :
This is a full time position working 12 hour shifts on a 3-4 rotations
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required asscheduled.
Available Shift :
N1 : Monday - Wednesday with alternating Thursdays, from 6 : 00pm - 6 : 15amN2 : Friday - Sunday, with alternating Thursdays, from 6 : 00pm - 6 : 15am
Position Responsibilities :
1. Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times. 2. Understand and help drive improvement to quality systems and policies (Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). 3. Learn to safely operate and monitor high-speed production equipment. 4. Actively engage in resolving production line issues, executing and developing standard work, tracking production data, and participating in KDP’s lean daily management process. 5. Actively learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes with team members. 6. Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas. 7. Demonstrate KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair.
Qualifications :
1. Ability to quickly learn about how processing and packaging equipment works. Mechanical understanding or manufacturing experience preferred. 2. Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve. 3. Comfort with basic computer functions and ability to quickly learn production software. 4. Basic mathematical skills to make production calculations
