DESCRIPTION: Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing Construction Management Consulting and Inspection firm, is seeking candidates experienced on FDOT Roadway and Bridge Projects for full-time CEI Inspector position, to perform inspection services on a number of roadway construction projects in and around Jacksonville, FL.
DUTIES: The duties and responsibilities of the Roadway CEI Inspector include the following:
- Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
- Track and document work performed.
- Prepare Daily Reports electronically and submit daily.
- Participate in all required meetings.
- Shall immediately report any non-complying work as well as individuals who fail to perform their work in a skillful, safe and workmanlike manner.
- Ensure that construction submittals are approved as required by the contract, prior to allowing material on site and work to proceed with these items.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CEI INSPECTOR
(MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ON FDOT PROJECTS AND HOLD THE MINIMUM CTQP CERTIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW).
High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years' experience in roadway/asphalt construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, plus the following:
CTQP QUALIFICATIONS:
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Level I
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- FDOT Intermediate MOT
OTHER CERTIFICATIONS:
- Nuclear Radiation Safety (Optional)
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I (Optional)
- Florida Storm water, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control (Optional)
- ACI Concrete Inspector Level I
NOTE: Candidates with less than 2 years' experience may be considered if they possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
All qualified candidates must:
(1) Possess the ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
(2) Possess the ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.
(2) Have general knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must at all times have a current, valid driver's license in which the employee performs his or her driving duties and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
