Summary:

Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

What You’ll Do:

• Code invoices to the proper G/L accounts and cost centers before distributing and managing the manager approval process.
• Process approved non-inventory and freight invoices for payment.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Prepare a weekly ACH/Check run; including refund checks related to customer complaints.
• Assist AP leadership on inventory related accounts payable, as requested.
• Process credit card payments after receipt of appropriate documentation.
• Prepare signed checks to be mailed out with appropriate support.
• Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and obtain appropriate documentation.
• Maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
• Reconcile vendor accounts using monthly statements.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Administrative duties such as filing, department organizing, pulling invoices, investigating charges, etc.
• Other duties as assigned or necessary.

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum 2 years of Accounting or Finance Experience with an emphasis in accounts payable.
• High school diploma.
• Computer proficiency on MS Office products and ERP/FreshByte a plus.
• Microsoft XP, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, computer data processing and reporting, typing 40 wpm.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to apply tact and diplomacy.
• Strong motivation and team orientation.
• Grocery or food manufacturing experience a plus.
• Eagerness to grow and learn daily.
