SUMMARYThis position provides good manufacturing practices and on time delivery to the customer. Ensures all components are available for area of responsibility. Stages all metal components per customer order prior to the powder coating process, in pre-identified drop zones. Specific identification and 100%-part count confirmation required. Excellent communication skills and ability to be self- directed are required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assures that parts needed for production of assemblies are available and are delivered to point of use in a timely manner.
- Stages the way in which customer orders will be produced. Each customer order must be staged complete per process flow. The order must be identified with customer order number, work week, workday, and color. Orders cannot be intermixed.
- Works closely with Fabrication, Kanban and purchasing leaders to acquire any replacement or shortage parts to fulfill the customer order requirement. This function is critical in this role and will require a heighten sense of urgency.
- Will be required to fill in as needed on assembly line.
- Ensures all components received, meet workmanship standards and match bill of materials and the print of the product to be produced.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to proficiently navigate in an ERP system such as Syteline and Tru-view to fulfill the requirements of the position.
- Trouble shoots customer order issues / errors, along with any order shortage.
- Maintains clean and organized drop zones, using 5-S as a guideline.
- Looks for new and better ways to improve the order staging process. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
