Position Overview:
As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with children in both one-on-one and small group settings, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth. Collaborating with families and professionals, you will implement individualized care plans to help each child thrive, using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to children with ASD
Assist with daily living skills such as communication, socialization, and self-care
Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors
Collaborate with families and team members to track progress and ensure consistent care
Create a positive, engaging environment where children feel safe to learn and grow
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 months of experience working with children
Experience in a preschool or elementary setting is a plus
Strong communication skills, patience, and creativity
Ability to lift 30 pounds and engage in active play with children
