Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator for a reputable 40 year commercial contractor in the Spokane area. Commercial, Residential and Institutional work
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to accurately assess project scope and materials needed.
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain competitive pricing and bids.
- Analyze project risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to optimize project costs and profitability.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns for submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations with clients to address questions and concerns and secure contracts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials costs, and construction methods to inform accurate estimates and bids.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a strong track record of preparing accurate and competitive bids.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools, such as , Jobtread, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in estimating and bid preparation.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs, as well as relevant regulations and codes.
