Overview
We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to ensure the efficient production of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Set up and operate SMT machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT equipment to minimize downtime.
- Inspect PCBs for quality assurance, adhering to IPC 610 standards.
- Utilize electrical wiring skills to assist in the fabrication of PCB assemblies.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve production issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and soldering techniques.
- Experience with machining processes and mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in SMT operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to PCB fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience using calipers and other measurement tools for quality control purposes.
