Leasing Agent
This position is primarily responsible for leasing and marketing of Class A property in the Baton Rouge area, while assisting the rest of the property team in maintaining all aspects of property operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Welcomes and shows prospective residents the property utilizing company leasing techniques and expectations.
- Leasing and marketing to help reach occupancy and leasing goals.
- Responsible for providing regular updates on business outreach, marketing, leasing progress as well as any suggestions to be made.
- Handles resident issues including submitting and following up regarding service requests, accepting and depositing rental payments, completing lease paperwork including related addendums.
- Organizes and files all applicable daily and weekly reports, leases, and paperwork while maintaining accurate resident records.
- Responsible for renewals through consistent follow-through on renewal offers and renewal leases being signed through phone calls, emails, and personal visits.
- Assists team members in the initiation and management of all core business processes, including leasing, property performance goals, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, and team member development.
- Physically inspects the property ensuring office, model, and vacants are opened and in clean condition, pick up litter and report any service needs to the maintenance team.
- Ensures that market surveys are conducted on a regular basis, competition is shopped regularly, and coordinates creating and implementing marketing materials.
- Completes all lease applications and participate in the verification of applications. Notify prospective residents of results once application is approved by Property Manager.
- Communicates regularly with the Property Manager and other team members regarding apartment status, traffic activities and suggestions for improved property performance.
- Keeps abreast of industry, market, and seasonal trends to plan strategies to meet operational goals.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Desired Experience
- 1 year in property management, customer service, or sales.
- Leasing Agent experience for Class A properties preferred.
- OneSite, Knock Experience preferred.

- Ability to work a schedule that may include hours other than 9-6 Monday through Saturday, depending on business needs.
Essential Technical Skills * Typing and data entry skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Onesite, and other property management systems
Desired Education * B.A./B.S. degree preferred.
