Key Personnel is seeking a Patient Financial Counselor for a hospital in the Tulsa area.
Patient Financial Counselor Pay Rate : $17 per hour
Patient Financial Counselor Hours : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Patient Financial Counselor Responsibilities :
- Serve as the point of contact for all financial assistance-related questions. Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and potential out-of-pocket costs.
- Collect payments, set up payment plans, and provide estimates for medical services. Work with patients to create manageable payment arrangements.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage. Confirm eligibility for various assistance programs, including government programs.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and financial transactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate patients on their financial options, including eligibility for financial assistance programs and alternative payment methods.
- Work closely with case management, social services, and admission staff to ensure seamless patient care and financial planning.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including those related to billing and collections.
