Job Description
We are currently looking for a part-time Psychiatrist to join our Aberdeen team. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for diagnosis, medication management, and medical treatment as it relates to the patients' mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders
- Medication management and prescription
- Care coordination with treatment teams
- Safety protocols and regulations adherence
- Implementation of treatment strategies for patients and their families
Requirements
- Possess knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association
- Routine and emergency evaluation and assessment skills
- Competency in procedures regarding medical treatment, medication management, laboratory tests, and other medical practices
- Understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs populations
This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including some late afternoons and evenings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
