Description
As a member of the Corporate Accounting Team, you will provide analytical and accounting support on various topics, while learning and understanding all components of our accounting cycles for different corporate divisions within the company. Once you understand our operations and policies, you will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in a specific area of our business. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for financial information, including training other accountants and preparing reports for senior finance team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and perform other month-end, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and complete analytical reviews of income statement accounts to
- ensure accuracy and validity of transactions.
- Support corporate functions and FP&A in budgeting and forecasting and ensure actual spending is properly
- accounted for.
- Perform SOX controls and provide support in both external and internal audits.
- Work with others in Finance and other internal groups to improve accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX standards.
- Handle special projects and other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Two years’ experience in accounting is preferred.
- Plans to obtain CPA or already licensed is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Oracle, JDE, or comparable ERP
- systems preferred.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles.
- High level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgment, and attention to detail in a fast-paced
- environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
