Job Title: Mental Health Counselor

Overview: Keys To Success Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This position involves providing therapeutic support to boys aged 12-17 in a residential setting, offering counseling services to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience working with youth, and a passion for helping young individuals navigate their mental health challenges in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to boys aged 12-17, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments of each client's needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medical professionals, case managers, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve positive outcomes.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on building coping skills, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients.
• Engage with families to promote effective communication and support within the home environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal guidelines related to client treatment and records.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required).
• Current licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent (or the ability to obtain within a specified time).
• Experience working with at-risk youth, particularly in a residential or clinical setting, is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practices for youth.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with adolescents and their families.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for helping youth overcome challenges and achieve their fullest potential.
