Sr. Engineering Manager

Remote role: USA and Canada, must be able to travel to New York and Las Vegas.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to drive execution and bridge the gap between business strategy and development. In this role, you'll be hands-on with coding while leading an offshore engineering team, ensuring timely project delivery, and making key technical decisions. This is an execution-driven position with a strong path to VP of Engineering / Head of Engineering for high performers.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead engineering execution – Define and enforce sprint cycles, manage development timelines, and ensure offshore team accountability.
• Code and review – Actively contribute to development, improve architecture, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Architect scalable solutions – Optimize the platform for fast-growing ecommerce businesses.
• Manage site reliability – Oversee uptime and reliability efforts during U.S. business hours.
• Collaborate cross-functionally – Work with leadership to align engineering with business goals.
• Optimize offshore team performance – Mentor and manage engineers to improve efficiency.
• Set technical direction – Guide infrastructure, performance optimizations, and security best practices.

Who You Are:

• 8 years of software engineering experience, in a fast-growing SaaS or ecommerce startup.
• Strong full-stack skills (Node.js for backend, React for frontend preferred).
• Startup mindset – Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on leader – Comfortable coding daily while also managing and mentoring engineers.
• Proven experience managing offshore teams and enforcing development timelines.
• Mandatory: Deep knowledge of ecommerce enablement or headless ecommerce solutions.
