We are currently hiring a Construction Coordinator located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. As a Construction Coordinator you will report to a Project Manager and play a vital in the overall success of our solar energy construction and installation projects by ensuring work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
A successful Construction Coordinator has a strong attention to detail, adapts to changing project needs, effectively manages multiple competing priorities, and has strong organizational skills to help ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Develop project schedules, timelines and milestones to ensure the project is running on-time and within budget scope
· Serves as a liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.
· Proactively identify and resolve any site issues that may impede project delivery or quality
· Coordinate daily administrative and operational activities such as change orders, monthly billings, vendor paperwork, purchase orders and payroll specific requirements (hours by project, mileage, prevailing wage reporting, etc.)
· Ensure all required documentation has been obtained and properly filed.
· Coordinate, manage and monitor equipment procurement, materials, and supplies.
· Monitor performance activities, including outcomes coordination with facilitators and instructors.
· Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including permits, licenses, and reports.
· Act as a critical point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing regular project updates.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
· Review and understand contract language including billing/payment terms and pricing
· Set up job contracts and construction releases in [System name]
· Assist with ensuring all activities and conduct adhere to established guidelines of your contract.
· Enter contracts, new jobs, construction releases into PROCORE including job, location, pricing, and billing information
· Assist with obtaining Master Electricians Licenses and State Required Business Licenses
Minimum Qualifications
· B.S Degree in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience with project coordination in a prior work role or internship
Skills and Competencies
· Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
· Excellent analytical skills
· Strong ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
