What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roustabout (Rig Up) position at Keystone Clearwater Solutions?
- Rig Up/Rig Out: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of fracturing equipment and related components on the rig site.
- Participate in set ups & demobilization ; assemble required equipment/parts/pieces utilizing power tools and hand tools.
- Operate equipment to job specifications, inspecting equipment, fluid levels, and temperatures and proper attachment usage.
- Operate telehandler, skid steer, loader, man basket, (when properly trained) in a safe manner performing all pre/post operational checks.
- Operate light plant, compressor, heaters, and generators. Safely performing all pre/post operational checks.
- Recordkeeping, including completing a job safety analysis, truck tracking spreadsheet, equipment checklist, time sheet, BBS, near miss report, etc.
- Communicate effectively utilizing email, text, phone, hand held radio, and interpersonal communication.
- Overnight travel to field assignments, with work assignments continuing at times for periods of a week’s duration or longer, according to project requirements and related factors.
- Maintains a clean, organized work area. Fixing containment and grounding equipment.
- Fuels equipment safely along with another employee, ensuring not to spill any fuel on the ground.
- Utilize basic rigging when performing a lift, as well as using a tag line.
- Monitor frac operations ensuring project efficiency and safety.
- Backing in and spotting trucks.
- Follows all Standard Operating Procedures set by KCS.
- Follow all Safety policies and procedures without fail.
- Assist in winter ops including wrapping, tarping, controlled release, and operating heaters.
- Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles, ensures adequate room for transporting up to four (4) employees to and from work site
- Trains and instructs field water transfer technicians on how to man each location
- May manage subordinate employees or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the KCS policies
- Keeps down time and operating costs to a minimum and ensures water transfer operations are efficient
- Prepares daily Field Tickets for all the work performed on customer job sites; reviews for accuracy and completeness; submits tickets daily to the Company’s accounting department
- Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds daily
- Ability to walk on uneven, slippery and muddy conditions
- Ability to sit and / or stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to work out of doors in all environmental conditions
- Ability to operate and maneuver on and off an all-terrain vehicle throughout the day.
- Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and range of vision necessary to safely perform job functions

- Roustabout experience, water transfer or other oil & gas experience
- 1 year certification as equipment operator
- Basic knowledge of water transfer pad operations (preferred)
- Back knowledge of water transfer mobilization (preferred)
- Possess good communication skills with individuals at all levels.
