About the role

Qualified candidates will possess 2 year minimum prior experience as an Asphalt Screed Operator. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to compact asphalt surfaces for sports construction and repair projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and durable finish of our asphalt paving projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt rollers to compact and smooth hot mix asphalt for sporting surfaces
• Monitor the machine's performance and make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired compaction and roller pattern.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the roller to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Willing to use plate wacker/ hand tamper when required
• Willing to participate in asphalt prep work as required
• Collaborate with the paving crew to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating asphalt rollers in a construction environment.
• Experience in ADA compliance or Sports and recreation courts and tracks
• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and compaction standards.
• Experience on all sized rollers preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
• CDL Preferred
• OSHA 10 Preferred
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.
• Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.

Compensation- Salary: $25-35/per hour based on experience opportunity for prevailing wage rate Overtime as needed
