About the role

Qualified candidates will possess 2 year minimum prior experience as an Asphalt Screed Operator. You will be responsible for operating the screed component of an asphalt paver to apply asphalt to recreational courts and tracks. Your role is essential in ensuring a smooth, level, and properly compacted asphalt surface.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the screed to apply asphalt mix to the desired thickness and width.
• Adjust the screed to control the depth and slope of the asphalt layer.
• Monitor the asphalt mix and make necessary adjustments to ensure a consistent and high-quality finish.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the screed and paver to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the paving crew to ensure efficient and effective projectcompletion.
• Work closely with the paving crew to coordinate operations and ensure efficient project completion.
• Participate in asphalt prep work as required
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating asphalt screeds in a construction environment.
• In-depth knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and screed operation.
• Background in CAT and Weiler pavers preferred.
• Experience in ADA compliance or Sports and recreation courts and tracks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to pass a background check
• CDL Preferred
• OSHA 10 Preferred
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.
• Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.

Compensation- Salary: $25-35/per hour based on experience opportunity for prevailing wage rate Overtime as needed
