Scrum Master

A Scrum Master is a key role in an Agile team, responsible for ensuring that the Scrum framework is properly implemented and that the team works efficiently and collaboratively to meet project goals. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, ensuring that the team follows Agile practices, and removing any obstacles that may prevent the team from delivering high-quality products. You will work closely with the Product Owner, Development Team, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of projects.

JOB Responsibilities

• Tracking and Communications of digital progress and initiatives
• Maintaining and managing meeting cadences and forums for development teams, program team, Digital leadership team and KFC US Extend Leadership team.
• Portfolio management (prioritization discussions, criteria, recommendations and maintaining a priority list)
• Action item tracking
• Jira administration for the Digital Org
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving
• Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure product backlog is visible and prioritized towards business value
• Facilitate various Scrum and/or Kanban activities such as: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
• Ensure that meetings are productive and focused on achieving team goals.
• Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring that user stories are clearly defined and prioritized.
• Help ensure that the team has a clear understanding of the goals for each sprint.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team by encouraging reflection, learning, and adopting best practices.
• Lead sprint retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and work with the team to implement changes.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the team’s progress, any risks, and areas of concern.
  
  
  

Education

• Four-year degree in Business, Engineering or related area
• Scrum Master certification
• Expertise with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite and project tools such as MS Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  
  
  

Experience

• 3 Years leading Agile teams as a Scrum Master required
• Must exhibit expert knowledge of agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework
• Public speaking and professional facilitating
