Budgeting/Financial Planning Consultant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Budgeting/Financial Planning Consultant in New York, NY. Responsibilities:

• Budgeting/Financial Planning Consultant will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of annual budgets and long-term financial plans
• Analyze historical data, financial trends, and key performance indicators to provide actionable insights
• Prepare financial models, forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making
• Partner with business units to understand operational needs and incorporate them into financial planning
• Recommend improvements to budgeting tools, processes, and reporting practices
• Monitor budget performance and work with stakeholders to address variances
• As a Budgeting/Financial Planning Consultant, you will provide training and support to internal teams on budget processes and financial planning tools
• Prepare presentations and reports for leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning, or financial analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; Experience with budgeting software and ERP systems preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
