Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Buyer in Chesterfield, MO. Essential Functions:

• Buyer will participate on company capital projects; Responsible for procuring capital equipment and services; Effectively drive costs savings opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
• Interact with Industrial Management, Operations, Safety, company purchasing personnel, and global peers
  
  

Core Functions

• Actively participate in company initiatives and help to implement program/strategy where appropriate
• Participate on capital project teams in all phases of project development, planning, execution & close-out; Engineer - Procure - Construct
• Develop, implement procurement strategies designed to maximize value for equipment, materials, and services
• Negotiate and/or manage various agreements for engineering services, equipment ,and construction
• Prepare and analyze bids; develop & implement approved sourcing strategies; Make recommendations on supplier selection, use of established Supplier pricing agreements
• Communicate company procurement programs throughout organization at all times, verbally and in writing (memos, letters, presentations, conference calls, etc.); Track company spend to ensure compliance to strategic procurement programs
• Manage assigned preferred suppliers, measure/monitor performance, and track savings
• As a Buyer, you will support plant purchasing departments as required
• Actively participate as representative on defined global sourcing initiatives, if required
• Develop expertise and maintain on-going knowledge for defined group of indirect materials and services as assigned by management
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Supply Chain
• Formal Procurement knowledge and Industrial Capex experience only - No retail or commercial experience
• Procure to Pay - SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Engineering or Technical background is a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
