Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a Cyber Security Analyst 4. Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Security Analyst will lead advanced security operations, including monitoring, threat detection, and incident response
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate threats
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Investigate security breaches and provide detailed reports with recommendations for remediation
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to strengthen security architecture and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.)
- As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will implement security controls for cloud environments, networks, and endpoint protection
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior security analysts and IT staff
- Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats and evolving security technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security operations, risk management, or incident response
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and firewalls
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and forensic analysis
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
