Kforce has a medical device client in Peabody, MA that is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to work on a Linux distribution migration project. Preferred candidates will be able to be onsite in Massachusetts on a hybrid/as needed basis. Roles and Responsibilities for Embedded Software Engineer (Linux, Security):

- Lead migration of Linux distribution from Kirkstone to Scarthgap
- As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will build custom Linux distributions in Yocto/Bitbake
- Implement cyber security measures in embedded system to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate with global teams on project updates and deliverables
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development in Linux environment
- 2 years of current experience in a medical device environment
- Current experience in Yocto/Bitbake environment
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles as it pertains to embedded software for medical device
- Experience in Gitlab or Jenkins environment
