Kforce has a client in need of an Instructional Design & Training Specialist in Johnston, RI. Responsibilities:
- The Instructional Design & Training Specialist will develop and maintain comprehensive training programs on project management, change management, and business process improvement, tailored to internal audiences, practices and organizational needs
- Continuously evaluate and update training materials based on feedback and best practices to ensure they meet organizational standards
- Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and align training programs with organizational goals
- Conduct engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to ensure effective learning and skill development
- Work with project teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure training content is relevant and aligned with organizational goals
- Develop assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement
- The Instructional Design & Training Specialist will maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, feedback, and metrics
- Implement regular reporting to track progress against goals and promote organizational awareness and adoption
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a subject-matter area paired with a teaching credential is a plus
- 5-7 years of experience designing and developing engaging instructional materials and training programs using established instructional design models
- Demonstrated experience creating high-quality training content in various formats, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), train-the-trainers, job aids, and other educational resources for global audiences
- Experience in gamification to design and implement gamified learning experiences to increase engagement and motivation
- History of designing assessments, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of training programs and learner performance
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise, Camtasia) and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to develop interactive training content, videos, animations, and graphics
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to ensure instructional materials support diverse learners
- Proficiency in using training software and tools, as well as virtual training platforms
- Experience with using and managing LMS platforms for course creation, enrollment, tracking, and reporting
- Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), project management tools, and change management frameworks is a plus
