Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Utah County looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines for machine learning model training. This role requires expertise in Python, cloud platforms (GCP preferred), API integrations, and data storage solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering with some exposure to machine learning workflows. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support machine learning model training
• Integrate and manage data storage solutions using Google Cloud Storage (GCS), data lakes, and big data processing
• Automate data collection from sources such as cameras, cloud storage, and other automated systems
• Work with APIs to facilitate data ingestion and model training workflows
• Optimize data processing performance and scalability within a cloud-based environment
• Collaborate with ML and DevOps teams to streamline data workflows for AI/ML applications
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance best practices
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure also acceptable)
• Expertise in API integration for data ingestion and processing
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Storage (GCS), data lakes, and big data technologies
• Proven ability to build and optimize data pipelines for machine learning workflows
• Background in data engineering with some ML experience
• Experience working with automated data collection systems (e.g., cameras, cloud storage)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
