Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Developer in Greenwood Village, CO. Summary: The Software Developer will develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives. The candidate works in all phases of projects, which are of considerable complexity, and requires strong knowledge of development technologies and principles. This person serves as a technical resource for and reviews the work of less experienced staff members. They will provide technical assistance and advice on existing software solutions. Key Tasks:

• Responsible to drive continuous improvement of system reliability
• Establishes a system of monitoring and alerting to measure reliability over time and identify customer impacting issues in a timely manner to help teams operate within their error budgets
• Performs maintenance and provides technical assistance and advice on existing software solutions
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Design, implement, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in assigned areas
• Analyze, revise and document difficulties in existing system logic
• Test and review system designs
• Resolve escalated incidents and problems with software supported by the team
• Generates reports
• Provide management with system analysis, feedback, and improvement recommendations
• Work with software architects identifying and recommending design and requirements needed for software enhancements
• Maximize efficiency of various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs
• Develop RESTful APIs for use by various front end/UI using Scala/Java/typescript technologies
• Develop microservices using AWS
• Take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects
• Develop and implement software according to proposals
  
  

Requirements

• Experience working with Open Source software such as Spring, Google Guice, Guava, Tomcat, and NoSQL solutions
• Familiarity with dependency management and build systems like Maven and Ant
• Scala, Typescript, Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Databases (Relational and NoSQL), RESTful web services, AWS, Micro services, Jersey, SOAP web services, Axis, JMS, ESB's, XML, XSD, XSL, JSON, HTML5, JavaScript, Apache Open Source libraries, Maven, Git, Eclipse/NetBeans/IntelliJ, continuous integration testing, shell scripting
• Strong experience with any of these programing languages (Java, Python, Scala, Typescript)
• Requires the ability to understand a complex architecture across a broad range of technologies
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Thorough understanding of software engineering and object oriented design principles
• Strong and current development experience in Java and web technologies
• Ability to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with the following: Software Development methodologies, Architecture, Networking, or Systems Administration
• Agile experience
• Experience with AWS, microservices
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
