This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- As a Staff Accountant, you will support the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or working towards CPA certification is preferred
- 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
