Kforce's client, a CPA Firm located near West Caldwell, NJ is looking to hire a Tax Associate to join their growing team. This is a hybrid work schedule with excellent benefits and opportunities to learn and grow within the company. Summary: The Tax Associate will report to a tax supervisor and manager. The Tax Associate's responsibilities include interacting with clients, obtaining and reviewing tax information, preparing tax returns, and performing tax research projects. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.

- Ensuring clients comply with IRS regulations and meet their state and federal tax obligations
- Analyzing and minimizing tax liabilities by implementing tax reduction strategies
- Reviewing financial records, income statements, and expenditures
- Preparing and filing tax returns and work papers for companies, partnerships, and individuals
- Researching tax issues and assisting with tax audits
- Consulting with clients, reviewing their tax information, and responding to questions and concerns
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
- Degree in Taxation or Accounting required
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent accounting skills
- Good customer service skills
- Must have strong organizational skills
