RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Back-End Java Developer in Holyoke, MA.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Back-End Development (Java & Integration)
* Develop and maintain Java-based Back-End applications; Implement RESTful APIs and integrate Oracle SQL databases with Java applications; Work with Spring Boot, Hibernate, JDBC for database connectivity
* Work closely with front-end developers, project team
* Document workflows; Participate in code reviews and Agile development processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
* Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
* Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration with databases
* Understanding of Linux/Unix environments and basic shell scripting
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions)
* Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, JDBC) for Back-End development
* Must Work Hybrid from the Holyoke, MA location 2-3 days a week
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
