RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is looking for a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join their BI and Analytics team. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality, managing data security, defining data policies and procedures, and will be proficient in collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
Responsibilities:
* Data Architect will design and develop data models that meet business requirements, including conceptual, logical, and physical models
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements, and develop strategies to integrate, centralize, and maintain data sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency
* Partner with the security and legal teams to understand, define, set policy, and enforce data controls across systems
* Manage the full lifecycle of data, including data governance, quality, and security
* Develop and maintain data models and data flow diagrams that show the flow of data through various systems and applications
* Work with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions that support business objectives, such as data warehousing, data marts, and data lakes
* Ensure that data is aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements
* As a Data Architect, you will provide guidance and support to data management teams to ensure they are following best practices and industry standards
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, data analysts, developers, DBAs, and IT teams
* Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to data management, architecture, and technology
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or experience equivalent
* Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, with the ability to design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models from the ground up
* The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data modeling, data governance, and data integration techniques and technologies
* Strong expertise in data governance, data integration, data quality management, and data security, including experience working with access control policies and procedures
* Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation
* Hands-on experience with ETL tools (such as Informatica, SSIS, or Alteryx) and reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS) with a track record of selecting and standardizing tools for an organization
* Experience designing unified data models for enterprise-wide applications and integrating data from diverse sources (including flat files and Azure)
Desired:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
* Proven track record of moving from on-premise systems to cloud solutions (with a preference for experience in Azure)
* Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS or Azure
* Familiarity with the insurance industry and related data management challenges
* Financial insurance or banking experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
