RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Administrator in Seffner, FL. A Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) manages and secures data in cloud-based systems. They ensure that data is available to authorized users and runs efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Database design: Organize data into a model, including what data to store and how to store it
* Database backup and recovery: Create copies of the database to protect it from loss, corruption, or system failure
* Performance optimization: Improve how quickly and efficiently data is stored and retrieved
* Security: Manage the security of sensitive data, including re-architecting database structures
* Cloud infrastructure management: (Azure) Oversee and influence cloud service providers, including infrastructure maintenance and data migration
* Database application analysis: Analyze and design database applications
* Support and management: Support and manage cloud infrastructure
REQUIREMENTS:
* Azure Cloud experience
* Working knowledge of Linux, Oracle, Microsoft Access, and UNIX systems
* Good communication skills to explain complex topics to non-technical teams
* Time management skills to juggle multiple tasks
* Proficiency in SQL and software engineering principles
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
