RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orem, UT that has an opening for an Engineering Product Solutions Manager. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this exclusive search assignment. This is an individual contributing position.
Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic and/or electro-mechanical hardware engineering and product management, with a focus on developing and integrating complex hardware solutions. This role requires a customer-facing personality and the ability to work closely with engineering, sales, and external customers to deliver holistic solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Will work with customers and define customer requirements and finds out customer needs to enhance existing product lines. While also working with engineering teams to deliver new product solutions for their clients
* Engineering Product Solutions Architect will collaborate with product management and engineering teams to develop and integrate full-solution electro-mechanical systems, including third-party components such as cameras, radars, FPGA's, etc.
* Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring that engineering solutions meet customer needs, requirements and market demands to enhance existing product lines
* Will define product roadmaps
* Work with sales teams to drive full solution sales and create healthy tension to pull engineering toward customer-centric solutions
* As an Engineering Product Solutions Architect, you will conceptualize and design solution architectures, considering market research, competitive intelligence, and pricing strategies
* Build and lead a new Product Solutions Engineering team, including Solutions Architects, Proposal Writers, and Solutions Sales Engineers
* Travel domestically and internationally (10-25%) to meet with customers and stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master's preferred
* At least 7 years of experience in product management, preferably in the defense, aerospace, military, or consumer electronic technology sectors
* Strong background in hardware engineering and experience with hardware products (e.g., cameras, medical devices, aircraft, land vehicles, consumer electronics, etc.)
* Proven experience working with engineering teams (embedded, electrical, mechanical, robotics engineers) and a deep technical understanding of engineering processes
* Demonstrated experience working with sales and customers to develop and deliver solutions
* Experience in electronic and/or electro-mechanical product development
* Experience defining product roadmaps would be ideal
* Experience with RF, Lidar or Radar based systems or platforms is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
