RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a NOC Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
* NOC Technician will monitor network systems and infrastructure for performance and availability using NOC tools
* Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems
* Respond to and escalate network alerts, ensuring swift resolution to minimize downtime
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, security patches, and system checks
* Ensure network performance meets established service levels and provide reports as necessary
* As a NOC Technician, you will work collaboratively with network engineers and other teams to resolve complex issues
* Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, issues, and resolutions
* Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of network outages and performance degradation
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in network monitoring, system administration, or a similar technical support role
* Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and routing concepts
* Proficient with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
* Certifications like CompTIA Network , Cisco CCNA, or similar are preferred but not required
* Knowledge of network security practices is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
