RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Santa Clara, CA that is seeking a Process Engineering Technician who will support process engineering for loading samples to process tools, do manual assembly tasks, cleaning and preparing samples for various processes. The Process Engineering Technician will have a background in device fabrication and experience with test methods.
Responsibilities:
* Load/unload samples to vacuum tools
* Clean fixtures, tools being used in various processes
* Organize and execute complex, detailed test procedures with input from engineering
* Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
* Communicate issues observed in samples, process, or documentation to supervisor and/or process leads
* Operation of metrology and analytical tools such as confocal and optical microscopy, ellipsometer, Filmetrics, 4PP
* Enter data into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or Excel/Numbers log sheets as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Willingness to work alternate shifts (night, weekend) is preferred
* Hands-on experience in thin-film processes and/or vacuum tools to support device fabrication
* Experience in an R&D, pilot or small manufacturing team environment
* Demonstration of experiment ownership and accurate results and data recording
* Comfort with cleanroom and controlled environment protocols
* Adept at handling delicate substrates with vacuum wands/pens
* Must be able to work independently as well with other team members
* Able to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
* Self-starter with time management capability and a can-do attitude
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with Mac OS X, Windows OS and other productivity tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
