Kforce has a client in Duncan, OK that is seeking a Tech Prof-Software Develop Principal for a 6-month contract, with potential for full-time conversion.
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Principal Technical Software Developer to implement advanced technologies, enhance software development processes, and support critical operations. This role involves mentoring team members, leading large-scale projects, and ensuring the sustainability of legacy systems while advancing new hardware integration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead software development initiatives, driving innovation and process improvements
* Mentor and guide less experienced developers to achieve technical excellence
* Manage and oversee large-scale development projects, including design and milestone reviews
* Support legacy systems while integrating new hardware and equipment into operations
* Propose, develop, and implement innovative ideas and technical solutions
* Provide technical direction on major projects and influence hardware-related decisions
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
* Experience with usability testing, wireframing, and prototyping tools
* Hands-on experience with both software programming and electrical hardware assembly or design
* Experience conducting usability testing and iterative design improvements
* Experience mentoring junior developers
* Expertise in National Instruments LabVIEW
* Strong background in electrical assembly or design
* Solid knowledge of electrical or computer engineering
* Strong knowledge of programming and software design for complex projects
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
* Excellent verbal and written communication in English
* Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex software and hardware issues
* Capacity to analyze and create innovative solutions
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Advanced technical software development skills
* Skilled in synthesizing research findings into actionable recommendations
* Effective in meeting deadlines for high-priority projects

Work Environment:
* Flexible schedule: 50% onsite and 50% remote within core hours (8:00 AM-3:00 PM)
* 8-hour day shifts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
