RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Technical Business Analyst in Johnston, RI.
Responsibilities:
* Technical Business Analyst will analyze business needs and provide technology solutions
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications
* Perform data analysis to support business decision-making
* Implement, configure, and test feasible solutions
* Work closely with project management and software developers to design and implement solutions
* Conduct system testing to ensure requirements have been met
* Provide user training and support
* As a Technical Business Analyst, you will create and present reports to technical and non-technical team members
* Create detailed and clear user stories with acceptance criteria to ensure development teams understand the requirements
* Assist the product owner in managing the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business goals and project timelines
* Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and prioritize user stories based on business value and technical feasibility
* Utilize Azure DevOps for tracking and managing work items, sprints, and releases
* Conduct backlog grooming sessions to keep the backlog up-to-date and ensure the highest priority items are ready for development
* Facilitate sprint planning meetings to ensure the development team understands the scope and objectives of each sprint
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* Extensive experience in technical business analysis in a related industry
* Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions
* Ability to analyze and visualize data
* Ability to facilitate internal end-user proficiency
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Knowledge of data security and encryption
* Familiarity with software development methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban
* Data Analysis and Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI
* Database Management: Understanding of database concepts and experience with database management systems like SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
* Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Familiarity with SDLC methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
* Business Intelligence (BI): Experience with BI tools and techniques
* Process Modeling and Workflow Analysis: Skills in creating process models and analyzing workflows to improve business processes
* Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Ability to gather, document, and manage technical requirements for projects
* Software Testing: Knowledge of software testing principles and techniques, including test case development and user acceptance testing
* Programming Skills: Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java (nice to have)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
