RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Business Analyst in Charlotte, NC.
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-oriented Technical Business Analyst to support internal development efforts across requirements gathering, configuration, and testing. This role is central to transforming a large enhancement backlog into streamlined, value-added features within a custom-built application environment (comparable to Salesforce, but homegrown). The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, thinks beyond canned solutions, and gets satisfaction from making tools better, smarter, and more intuitive.
Responsibilities:
* Technical Business Analyst will gather, document, and manage business requirements (BRDs) in collaboration with stakeholders
* Lead system configuration efforts using JSON to support custom feature implementation
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues creatively, with an ownership mindset
* Execute and assist in quality assurance testing as needed (trainable skills for the right candidate)
* Work with SQL to analyze data, build and edit queries to support reporting and business insights
* As a Technical Business Analyst, you will conduct internal demos of new features or enhancements; no executive-level presentations required
* Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, developers, and a soon-to-be onboarded BA to deliver 5 enhancements weekly
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3 years in a Business Analyst or similar role, ideally within a highly customized or proprietary system environment
* Strong understanding of BRD writing and requirements elicitation
* Hands-on configuration experience using JSON or comparable technologies
* Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to read and edit queries
* Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems outside of predefined paths
* Self-starter with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/ERP platforms
* Background in systems or product configuration and low-code platforms
* Comfortable with Agile-style iteration and backlog management
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
