RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Toshiba ACE, Toshiba Checkout systems and Store Integration Developer for a 12 month contract role that can sit 100% remote. Given its long history in retail environments, ACE's core system is designed for stability and performance, while Java is often used to extend functionality or integrate with modern retail technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, customize, and maintain Toshiba ACE POS and Checkout solutions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Toshiba Store Integration (SI) solutions
* Manage content updates, ensuring accurate deployment to SCO systems and reporting on its status and frequency
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Toshiba POS systems
* Enhance POS features to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
* Develop Java-based solutions to integrate with Toshiba POS environments
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with Toshiba ACE (Toshiba ACE is primarily written in C and C , with some components leveraging Java for integration, customization, and newer feature enhancements
* Experience with Toshiba Checkout systems
* Experience with Toshiba Store Integration (SI)
* Proven experience working with Toshiba ACE and Toshiba Checkout systems
* Strong understanding of Toshiba Store Integration (SI) solutions
* Hands-on experience with Java development
* Knowledge of POS architecture, payment processing, and retail workflows
* Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently
* Experience with retail environments and POS system configurations
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
