RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in search of a Workday Engineer for a contract-to-hire role in Salt Lake or Utah Counties.
Essential Functions:
* Workday Engineer will manage the full HRIS infrastructure, including servers, databases, cloud environments, and third-party integrations
* Spearhead the implementation of new HRIS modules, functionalities, and integrations to meet evolving business needs
* Develop and maintain integrations between the HRIS and other critical HR, payroll, and business systems using APIs, middleware, and custom coding
* Perform advanced HRIS configurations, customizations, and test automation to enhance user experiences and streamline workflows
* As a Workday Engineer, you will analyze HRIS data to generate insightful reports and dashboards that support strategic HR decision-making
* Provide technical expertise, training, and user support to HRIS end-users across the organization
* Ensure robust HRIS security, access controls, disaster recovery, and data protection measures are in place
* Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business leaders to align the HRIS roadmap with organizational goals
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
* 5 years of progressive experience as an HRIS Engineer, HR Systems Analyst, or similar technical HR role
* Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies, project management, and process improvement initiatives
* Comprehensive understanding of HR business processes, data structures, and reporting requirements
* Proficient in HRIS software development, including programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL), databases, web technologies, and API integrations
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline
* Certification in leading HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP)
* Experience leading large-scale HRIS implementation or transformation projects
* Knowledge of HR compliance regulations, data privacy laws, and cybersecurity best practices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
