What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Algorithm Engineer position at KForce?
Senior Algorithm Engineer - Radar
The Algorithm team is seeking an experienced Senior Algorithms Engineer with a passion for solving challenging problems.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving a variety of radar algorithms, focusing on radar signal processing and target detection/tracking.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and validate effective and efficient signal processing algorithms for target detection and tracking.
- Implement those algorithms on embedded hardware with timing and resource utilization constraints (primarily using C ).
- Develop test cases using real-world data to validate the efficacy of the algorithms and iterate the design process based on deficiencies.
- Collaborate with application teams to ensure that the radar output meets their requirements.
Requirements:
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Experimental Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Strong experience and familiarity with radar algorithms (e.g., phased array processing, beamforming, MIMO, MUSIC, STAP, CFAR, detection), especially those related to Moving Target Indication (MTI).
- Experience with radar-based multiple target tracking is a plus.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Digital signal processing and numerical analysis (e.g., Fourier transforms, digital filters, linear algebra, optimization).
- Rapid numerical prototyping in Python.
- Programming in C .
- Programming in Cuda is a plus.
- Radar simulation.
About the Role:
This role requires a deep understanding of radar signal processing and algorithm design.
You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and improve radar algorithms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with significant experience in radar algorithm development.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the field of radar systems.
