PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
Troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding crushers, SAG and ball mills, conveyors, belt feeders, hydraulic systems, pumps, and pipefitting. Candidate must demonstrate an ability and desire to upgrade skills and knowledge using on-the-job experience as well as off-the-job studies, as needed. Candidate must be multi-tasked including assisting maintenance technicians as required. Preserve personal safety and the safety of coworkers. Learn new things and teach others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by the supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Be a role model to others in safe behavior.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Make yourself available to work Crusher & Mill outages.
- Actively engage in learning the Crushing circuit.
- To ensure safe and efficient operation.
- To assist Maintenance Technicians in identifying & remediating mechanical issues.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience in Mill Maintenance.
- Basic competency in personal computer operation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn new software.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize, self-start and work under limited supervision.
- Mechanical ability.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals and parts books.
- Ability to operate all shop tools and equipment.
- Ability to use atmospheric testing equipment (MX4).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Heavy: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Medium Work.
