JOB TITLE: Security Technician
DEPARTMENT: Health and Safety
LOCATION: Robinson Mine - Ruth, NV
PAY GRADE: N/A
POSITION REPORTS TO: Safety & Health Coordinator
ROTATING SHIFT: Yes 5/4 - 4/5 Schedule: 2 Weeks Days/2 Weeks Nights

Purpose & Scope of The Position:
To monitor access control on and off Robinson Mine site, all the while learning new things and teaching others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by the Supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Monitor access control on/off Robinson Mine site.
- Perform daily patrol routes on and offsite designated by the Security Supervisor and the Safety and Health Administration.
- Provide delivery weight management and related documentation.
- Perform asset management inspections through various RNMC departments and areas.
- Assist with Safety and Health Administration, computer data entry, and record keeping.
- Provide dispatch for and to Robinson Mine during emergency incidents.
- Perform random, post incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
Required Education, Work Experience & Training:
- A valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Advanced first aid training.
- One-year previous security experience.
- Certified Intoximeter Breath Alcohol Technician.
- Certified UA Technician.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of database entry
- Knowledge of JD Edwards.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly.
