Hotel Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service to all individuals on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Provide first aid or CPR as needed in emergency situations.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is an asset.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Must possess a valid security officer certification where applicable.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.18 per hour
