Independent Delivery Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking highly reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as independently contracted drivers 3-6 days a week, including weekends for the holiday season. As a delivery driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of packages to households in a timely manner. This is a contracted position, and you will be responsible for using your own vehicle to complete deliveries within South Buffalo including Blasdell, Lackawanna, South Buffalo, Sloan, and Broadway-Fillmore. No CDL is required.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate your own vehicle to deliver packages to residential addresses within assigned routes and timeframes.
- Ensure accurate and complete loading of packages into your vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and parking, maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize navigation tools and apps to optimize delivery routes and efficiently navigate through traffic.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the dispatch team to provide updates and resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- No CDL is required
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as well as clear a 10-panel drug test.
- Own a reliable, well-maintained vehicle (Minivans and Cargo Vans preferred)
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using smartphone apps and navigation tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible availability to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as required.
