Stable Abstract Research Company seeks a Abstractor Apprentice.
Summary: maintains customer service function and coordinates service requests with abstracting department.
Must be familiar with both the abstract and torrens filing systems and have a good understanding of various legal documents pertaining to real estate, foreclosure, probate and family law matters. Research is conducted using on-line county computer systems including: Landshark, Laredo, Star-lite, RecordEase, iDocs, MNCIS, Pacer and Orbit, etc. Knowledge, understanding and ability to draw out metes and bounds legal descriptions is a plus.
Must be detailed oriented, strong organizational skills and computer skills, ability to multi-task and work independently.
Paralegal degree or real estate/title insurance background required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
