Summary
The Customer Support Technician (CST) provides technical information and support for KHS USA parts sales orders. The Technician may also have other responsibilities relating to the Engineering function.
Essential Roles And Responsibilities (Other May Be Assigned.)
- Receives calls from KHS customers seeking aftermarket parts and rebuilds
- Conducts technical research on part numbers for sales orders
- Identifies components of parts for special kits; group of parts that make up sub-assemblies
- Verifies part pricing with Customer Support Supervisor or Manager
- Identifies needed machine manual updates and communicate to documentation
- Occasionally enters new part numbers into Finesse system
- Helps to identify whether customer requests are under warranty
- May help identify Engineering Change Requests and communicate with Engineering or other Groups
- May do parts look up and pull drawings to support purchasing
- Participates in 24/7 on call non business hours customer call line, may be on regular rotating schedule with other department members (
Education And Experience Requirements
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; five years experience with customer service or parts sales for electro mechanical equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SAP Experience Strongly Preferred.
