Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, including general ledger accounting, payroll processing, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, GAAP, tax regulations, and technical accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in a project based industry is a helpful

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
