Part-time French-Speaking Nanny for Two Children

A bit about us: We are a fun-loving and adventurous family seeking a nurturing and engaging nanny for our two children, ages 2 and 1 years old. Our home is predominantly French-speaking, and we would love to find a nanny who can support our children’s language development in French. Both kids are energetic, curious, and love crafts, outdoor play, and hands-on activities. We hope you like cats too, we have a kitty named Quinn. We are looking for someone who can be a consistent and caring presence in our children's lives, ideally starting around May 1st. A bit about you: You are an active, outgoing, and patient nanny who enjoys engaging with young children through play, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. You take initiative in organizing activities and can confidently keep up with a very active toddler who loves to climb, explore, and try new things. You are comfortable working in a home where parents are sometimes present and can communicate updates with ease. You are fluent in French or have a strong proficiency, as we would love to maintain our children’s exposure to the language. You’re also comfortable tidying up after playtime and meals and ensuring a safe and fun environment for the kids.

Job Duties:

· Provide attentive and engaging care for both children, including supervising playtime, meal/snack times, and nap routines.

· Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including crafts, reading, and outdoor adventures.

· Maintain a tidy and organized environment, cleaning up after meals and playtime.

· Support French language development through conversation, books, and interactive learning.

· Occasionally prepare simple meals or snacks for the children.

· Maintain open communication with parents, providing small updates throughout the day.

Qualifications:

· 2 years of experience caring for young children.

· Fluency or strong proficiency in French.

· Up-to-date child-related vaccinations (Flu, TDAP, MMR)

· Glowing references from recent childcare positions.

· Active and energetic personality to match the children’s enthusiasm.

· Comfortable working in a home where parents are sometimes present.

Set yourself apart:

· Background in early childhood education or Montessori experience.

· Strong knowledge of engaging in developmental activities for toddlers.

· Creative mindset for planning crafts and fun projects.

· Experience with bilingual/multilingual households.

· A passion for adventure, outdoor play, and exploration.

Schedule: 3 full days per week (8 AM - 5 PM), ideally Monday-Friday

Pay: $32-35
